ingredients
- any fruit (berry or citric fruit)
- sugar/honey
- lemon juice
- mint leaves (2-3) (optional)
recipe
- roughly chop your fruit.
- add the fruit, sugar/honey, lemon juice and whole mint leaves to a pan.
- let the fruit reduce over low-medium heat.
- the sugar will eventually give you a jelly-like consistency.
- let it cool and then transfer to a clean, dry jar.
tips
- mixing it consistently will get you a finer preserve.
- the peels from fruits like plums and peaches don’t reduce so it’s better to peel them off
