Homeflour drop soup
recipe
- heat some oil in a pot, add the onions, garlic and chili crisp.
- once translucent or even slightly golden brown, add a cup of hot water with a stock cube.
- in a bowl, mix together flour and water in a 2:1 ratio (should have a corndog batter like consistency). add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
- once the soup is boiling and bubbling, drop in small dollops of the flour mixture like you would with boba or vadas.
- allow them to float to the surface and stir occasionally.
- let the soup simmer for a bit and do a salt and pepper taste check.
- bit into one of the dough balls to see if they are cooked and all.
- top off with sesame seeds and spring onions greens.
tips
- if the soup is not thick enough, you can always add some corn flour slurry!
